Rory's remarkable recovery
McIlroy found himself a long way right after his tee-shot at the fifth went into the rough but he produced a stunning recovery to set up a five-foot birdie putt.
Hovland is flying!
Morikawa heaps the pressure on with a stunning tee-shot and birdie at the seventh.

Hovland holes a slippery 18-footer down the hill to stay 3 UP and fists pumps away. That's as big as a win.
Match eight under way
Sepp Straka finds the fairway with his opening tee-shot, while his opponent Justin Thomas is in the rough after going a long way right.
Some positives for the U.S.
Homa makes an excellent putt for a half with Fitzpatrick on the third.

Hatton misses a good chance to go 2 UP on the second. But holding steady won't even nearly get the job done today for the visitors.

Europe are UP in five but four of them by just one hole.
So close!
Rose comes within inches of levelling his match with Cantlay but his 11-foot birdie putt at the fifth pulls up agonisingly short.

Cantlay remains 1 UP.
Morikawa makes an almighty mess of the sixth
He sees his second roll off the front, his chip come back to his feet and puts his fourth outside where Hovland is in two.

The Norwegian takes the hole without having to get the putter out and is 3 UP.
Burns gets one back
Burns reduces his deficit in match four to one hole after winning the fourth with a brilliant birdie. Game on!

Koepka strikes early
Brooks Koepka's match against Ludvig Åberg is off and running and the American has struck the first blow after birdieing the opening hole.

With Åberg only able to manage a bogey, the U.S. are 1 UP in match seven.

Anything you can do...
McIlroy got loud cheers following his tee-shot at the par-three fourth as it flew to 17 feet.

Then up stepped Burns to send his to 12 feet.
