Sept. 23-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

In Ryder Cup folklore, Ian Poulter might be best known for his enthusiastic celebrations, but he has the records to go with it.

The Englishman's contribution to the European cause is proven by the fact he possesses the best winning percentage in Ryder Cup history. Of the players who have competed in a minimum of 15 matches, nobody can beat Poulter's record of 72.2%, accumulated over five previous Ryder Cups.

Poulter has won 12 of his 18 matches, including four wins out of five in the singles contests, claiming victories in 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2012. The 42 year old has also earned four points from his foursomes and fourballs encounters, contributing to that enviable winning record. Sitting just behind Poulter on 71.9% is seven-time Major Champion Arnold Palmer, with Luke Donald, Hale Irwin and Bubba Watson sharing third place with 70%.

Affectionately known as 'Mr Ryder Cup,' Poulter will be looking to live up to that moniker this week and improve upon that impressive feat as Europe seek to win back the trophy.
