Sept. 23-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

Julien Guerrier won a dramatic nine-hole play-off against Jorge Camillo at the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters to win his first DP World Tour title and leap to sixth position in European Ryder Cup qualifying.

The huge crowds at Real Club de Golf Sotogrande were treated to a thrilling battle between home favourite Campillo and Frenchman Guerrier, with the lead changing hands throughout the afternoon before a mammoth play-off was required to break the deadlock after Guerrier holed his clutch 16-foot par putt on the 18th to join his playing partner at 21 under par following 72 holes.

And it was Guerrier who came out on top at the ninth extra hole, nervelessly holing from eight feet to enter the winner's circle for the first time on his 230th start.

He said: "I'm feeling great and I can't believe I made it. Because it's been a really long time I've been waiting for it.

"We work really hard every week for that but we have to stay patient.

"I know Jorge Campillo is a great player but today it goes my way so I'm very happy.

"I knew it would be really hard because his putting is amazing. Also my iron game was not in good shape today but my putting was really good.

"So I was trying to do my best and I'm really happy.

"On the last putt, I was thinking of my kids to give me the strength to hit it, so thanks to my family and my team.

"It's a long wait and I'm very happy."

Guerrier will make his Ryder Cup debut at Bethpage next year should he qualify and it was a good week for some other players looking for a maiden appearance.

Campillo jumped 13 places to ninth in qualifying, while England's Dan Brown moved up 16 places to 17th after his third-place finish.

Another Englishman, Matt Wallace, jumped up two places into second after his tie for 20th, with Rory McIlroy dropping two places to fourth.

Rasmus Højgaard remains on top of the qualification standings on 468.53 points ahead of Wallace (366.92), Niklas Nørgaard (364.43), McIlroy (354.07), Tyrrell Hatton (295.84) and Guerrier (294.9).

The qualification process will end at the DP World Tour tournament which concludes on Sunday August 24, 2025.
