Sept. 23-28, 2025 Bethpage Black Course, Farmingdale, NY

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – PGA Golf Club, the 54-hole, flagship facility of the PGA of America, will proudly display the iconic Ryder Cup trophy inside the main entrance of its clubhouse beginning Friday, Nov. 10.

The trophy will be showcased through the end of the year except Nov. 14-18 and Dec. 12-16. This will be the second time this year the Ryder Cup has appeared at PGA Golf Club.

Golf fans visiting PGA Golf Club are encouraged to take photos of the Ryder Cup and other memorabilia including a golf bag from the 2016 Ryder Cup and a life-size cutout of victorious Captain Davis Love III. The first 1,000 fans who share their photos and video on social media – tagging @PGAVillage and @rydercupusa, and using the hashtag #rydercup – will receive a commemorative gift.

“We’re honored to exhibit this prestigious trophy once again in our clubhouse,” says Jimmy Terry, general manager at PGA Golf Club. “The Ryder Cup is one of the most revered trophies in all of sports, and this is a special opportunity for our guests to get a first-hand glimpse of it.”

Standing 17½ inches high and weighing four pounds, the Ryder Cup trophy was donated by British seed merchant Samuel Ryder in 1927. The nine-carat gold trophy sits atop a wooden base, around which is a gold band where the results of each Ryder Cup played are engraved.

One of the greatest sporting events founded on prestige rather than prize money, the Ryder Cup is a biennial competition pitting the best American professional golfers against those from Europe. The U.S. team leads the all-time series 26-13-2, including a 17-11 win over Europe in 2016 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. Jim Furyk will captain the U.S. team at the 42nd Ryder Cup, which will be contested Sept. 25-28, 2018, at Le Golf National in Guyancourt, France, some 40 minutes southwest of Paris.
