On Sunday, Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge played exactly the way The King would have liked it. Palmer's Orlando home course delivered with only three scores under par and the most difficult closing round in over 40 years. In the end, Bryson DeChambeau holed an anxiety-filled 5-footer to match the low round of the day (71) and claim victory over 47 year-old Ryder Cup stalwart Lee Westwood.
The one-shot win marks the 27 year-old's seventh career PGA TOUR win and a two-spot jump to second place in the Team U.S.A. Ryder Cup standings behind Dustin Johnson. Outside of Bryson picking up 2,511 points and taking back the second spot in the U.S. Team Ryder Cup rankings, there wasn't much movement in the Top 12 this week. In related news, both Ryder Cup captains (Steve Stricker and Padraig Harrington) were in the field this week and made it to the weekend. Here's a look at the current Ryder Cup qualifiers following this week's Arnold Palmer Invitations presented by Mastercard.
