Aside from the 42nd staging of The Ryder Cup, which will see Europe’s elite tackle the United States’ finest, there are several additional exciting events taking place in Paris.

The rivalry between the old foes will be repeatedly contested throughout the week, giving fans the opportunity to witness an array of celebrities, legends and future stars in action at Le Golf National.   

Tuesday September 25 – Celebrity match

Starting the week is the Celebrity Match on Tuesday September 25. Leading lights from the worlds of sport, film and politics are set to line up for each side, including renowned actor Jamie Dornan, surfing star Kelly Slater, legendary footballers Luis Figo and Alessandro Del Piero and former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice – among others. 

The 2018 Celebrity Match will take place from 4:00pm to 7:30pm CEST.

Wednesday September 26 – Junior Ryder Cup Players GolfSixes Match

The following day spectators can see a host of young talents in action as Junior Ryder Cup players take part in a GolfSixes match. 

The Junior Ryder Cup is a proven stomping ground for the world’s best players, with the likes of Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Lexi Thompson and Suzann Pettersen all competing in the event as teenagers. This is the chance to witness the next wave of future stars in an innovative and fun format.  

The Junior Ryder Cup Players GolfSixes Match will take place from 3:00pm to 7:30pm CEST.

Tickets for Wednesday: Adults (17+) - €45.00, Junior (6-16) - €10.00 and are available here.

Thursday September 27 – Past Captains Match 

Fans can expect to see golfing royalty from each side roll back the years and go head-to-head once again over Le Golf National’s fabled fairways in a ten-hole scramble match.   

Past Ryder Cup players and Captains will then take part in a series of clinics and Q&As.

The Past Captains Match will take place from 1:00pm to 5:00pm CEST.

Thursday September 27 – Opening Ceremony

Hosted by French footballing legend David Ginola, the one-hour ceremony, which will be followed by a special 90-minute concert featuring the Kaiser Chiefs and Jain, will begin at 7:00pm local time in a purpose built arena at Le Golf National.
