Through 43 Ryder Cups, there have been a bevy of players selected to both teams.
But only a select few have become Ryder Cup heroes for their respective squads and are now synonymous with the event.

Littler received the Ben Hogan Award in 1973 for a courageous comeback from injury or illness, returning to the Tour after receiving treatment for malignant melanoma. He made one Ryder Cup start afterward.
