Wow! Nicolai Højgaard has just made the perfect start to his Ryder Cup career with an outrageous putt from long range. His birdie sends Europe 1 UP in match two.

Match two is under way and each team has a ball on the green after two shots. Brooks Koepka is closest to the pin - around 33 feet away - while Nicolai Højgaard is a touch further out at 47 feet.

Hatton's stunning approach shot sets up a tap-in birdie. Europe go 1 UP early on.

Hatton made his bunker shot look easy, spinning it back to around four feet to put Europe in pole position at the first. Thomas is on the green but has a lengthy putt to come, while Spieth is slightly closer in but is just off the green.

Here we go! We're up and running in the first four-ball match of the afternoon.

The U.S. pairing have the early advantage in the opener after Thomas found the fairway with the first tee-shot. Jordan Spieth and Hovland are in the left rough, while Hatton's drive trickled into the bunker on the right.

The visitors find themselves with a mountain to climb after Europe's clean sweep in the first session but Schauffele has backed the U.S. Team to bounce back.
