Nice from Koepka
After a dicey start on the first, Koepka plays a nice lag putt but Europe have two putts to take the hole.
Shaky start from the U.S.
They go from rough to rougher on the first - Åberg finds the green.

Both teams on in regulation at the second but a long way away.
Donald speaks on the tee
"It's a clean slate, it's 0-0 this morning. You always have to be careful of a wounded animal like the U.S. are right now. They're a stacked team."

"Seve is the ultimate symbol of what makes a European Ryder Cup player great. He makes all the players better, that was his role. He had so much passion for this event and he wanted to win at all costs. We always respect Seve and he's always a big part of the Ryder Cup for us."
Match two up and running
A few more boos for the U.S. pair this time - maybe the locals haven't taken too kindly to Koepka's 'child' comments regarding Jon Rahm?

To the business and Scheffler is in Thomas country down the right - Hovland is straight down the middle.
First blow to Europe
Thomas' approach was further away than Fleetwood's and Spieth missed the par putt to give Europe two putts for the hole.

They make no mistake and go 1 UP.
Advantage Europe
The lie on the right is so thick Spieth has to lay up.

Fleetwood finds the putting surface and McIlroy has 15 feet for birdie.
We've got a tifo!
An enormous tifo of Seve Ballesteros has been unveiled on the grandstand with 'forever in our hearts' written in Italian on it.

Seve's son Javier is stood on the tee - quite an emotional moment.

For those not familiar - a tifo is an Italian sporting tradition where a huge banner made of fabric is held up and often passed around the crowd.
And they're off
Shouts of fore from the grandstand as Thomas finds the right rough off the tee - it's not actually that wide a shot but it is thick down there.

McIlroy finds the second cut on the left but he's a long way down and looks to have got a lie - lucky boy.
The players arrive
Fleetwood Mac, as they're being called, walk out to a rapturous reception - big Dreams today for those two (sorry, I'll get my coat).

A smatter of boos for Spieth and Thomas but nowhere near as vociferous as day one.
