The Nicklaus-Jacklin Award Presented by Aon

DECISIONS MADE HERE MAKE HISTORY
The Ryder Cup represents the best of the game of golf. The Nicklaus-Jacklin Award presented by Aon, represents the best of the Ryder Cup.
Inspired by the historic 1969 ‘Concession,' when Jack Nicklaus conceded a two-foot putt to Tony Jacklin to halve the match, the Nicklaus-Jacklin Award honors two icons of the game and recognizes the player who best represents the spirit of the Ryder Cup. It celebrates the competitor who sees the bigger picture and makes better decisions on and off the course through sportsmanship, teamwork, and performance. In 2025, Tommy Fleetwood was named the recipient of the Award following the 45th Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. His 4-0-1 record, combined with his calming presence throughout the European team room, reinforced his reputation as a trusted and reliable member of Team Europe. Fleetwood joins Justin Rose, who earned the honor at the 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone, as the two individual winners of the Award.
