There will be only one Ryder Cup Points List operational in the 2024/2025 qualification period, using points earned in accordance with a new tournament banding structure implemented by Ryder Cup Europe in consultation with Captain Luke Donald.
As with 2023, six players to qualify automatically, with six Captain’s Picks.
The qualification process will end at the DP World Tour tournament which concludes on Sunday August 24, 2025. -

How it Works
The Ryder Cup is played in odd-numbered years between 12-member teams from the United States and Europe. It consists of five match-play sessions played over three days.
Team Selection
The U.S. Team will be made up from the top six eligible players in the points rankings with six Captain's Picks.
The European Team will be made up from the top six eligible players from the points list and six Captain's Picks.

Ryder Cup Format
Each of the first two days includes one four-match session of four-ball and one four-match session of foursomes. The final day is reserved for 12 singles matches.
Ryder Cup Scoring
Each match is worth one point, with matches ending in a draw worth ½ point to each side. The first team to reach 14 ½ points wins the Ryder Cup. If the matches end in a 14-14 draw, the team holding the Ryder Cup retains it.
